I've been a music fan as long as I can remember and by the time I was 12 or so I was already collecting records and already had a broad and eclectic taste in what I listened to. All my life I have gravitated towards friendships with other people who collected and had varied taste in music and they introduced me to many great artists and genres.
When I listened to the radio it was CKUA or CJSR. Back in 'the day' before streaming video and the Internet, there were many afternoons or evenings spent at one or another friends places just listening to music, with the host trying their best to play things that were new, or newly discovered.
If you joined me for an evening of listening to recorded music now, these are some of the things I might play for you. Hopefully some of these tracks will introduce you to artists you like, or previously undiscovered music by artists you already know. If nothing else, this playlist has variety. Enjoy, and check back down the road for new additions!
